HRMS History
Our company’s history of providing job training, career management and job placement assistance to tens of thousands of professional workers is a testament to our ability to make a positive difference in the lives of well-educated alumni.
Under seasonedPRO’s parent company, HRMS (established in 1993), we have procured millions of dollars of government and foundation grants to achieve outstanding job placement results for professionals facing mid-life career challenges who are receiving services under the government’s Workforce Development system.
In 1993, HRMS established its Government Services Division to design and operate customized, government-funded job training and job placement programs. Successes include the Spotlight on Jobs program for the entertainment industry that trained and placed over 1000 dislocated workers. Collaborating with several staffing agencies to put hundreds of welfare recipients back to work, HRMS was funded by the County of Los Angeles as one of the first Welfare-to-Work demonstration programs. In the late 90’s, HRMS received funding to design and operate Hollywood Digital Careers, a high-end technical training program that retrained artists as digital visual effects specialists. HRMS has received millions of dollars in DOL grants and from private foundations and successfully trained, retrained and place thousands of workers, all within the regulatory compliance.
In 2000, HRMS launched Dot.com Job Search™, a proprietary curriculum designed to teach staff and clients how to use the Internet to find a job. The course has been widely used by many government agencies across the country and is delivered in several modalities including classroom, CD ROM and online.
More recently, several new services have been provided by HRMS. As an example, through a partnership with Monster TMP Worldwide, HRMS designs marketing and branding programs for various employment portals and workforce development agencies.
HRMS also publishes NetAssets, a semi-monthly electronic newsletter that is distributed to thousands of workforce development professionals.
In 2004, HRMS launched seasonedPRO to serve the professional, well-educated university alumni segment of the labor market by producing recruitment and career conferences in partnership with major universities throughout the country. |
