Friday's Meet Your Next Employer
"Speed Recruitment" Roundtable Preparation
seasonedPRO's mission is to make this day for you informative, productive, inspirational and fun.
This conference is for both the "passive" and "active" job seeker and is focused on serving professional, managerial and technical alumni with at least five years of work experience.
By "passive" we mean that you are probably not currently seeking employment or a change in your current career situation. However, you want to come to this event to gather some strategic intelligence on the labor market, network with like minded professionals and perhaps obtain some new perspectives on your options. You can maintain complete anonymity if you want, and/or selectively give out your business cards with recruiters and other attendees. No registration information will be released to anyone unless you authorize us to do so. If authorized, we will exchange your contact information only with other conference attendees.
By "active" you have decided to either start your job search process in earnest, or accelerate the process. We suggest you bring a professionally prepared resume, or at a minimum some business cards with your full contact information. Regardless of your work experience, career and work-life objectives, and reason for coming, you have several ways to spend your time on Friday, and the choice is totally up to you. Here are some options:
Choose to use the time as an opportunity to meet with a variety of employers in a direct, accessible executive roundtable setting. Up to nine people may be at the table at the same time. Employers are coming to this event to:
- Meet you in a relaxed, collaborative relationship.
- Present their company profile and employment opportunities.
- Answer your questions about employment opportunities with their company.
- Gain a quick read on your level of interest and qualifications.
- Conduct more in-depth interviews onsite if it appears that you may have an immediate fit.
- Gather resumes and/or exchange business cards from those visiting their tables.
Here are some additional benefits that you can expect to receive when you attend on Friday:
- Gain new perspectives on your career options.
- Learn how your skills and experience are transferable to other fields.
- Share common goals and challenges with fellow experienced alumni.
- Find out what types of companies are motivated to employ experienced alumni, and why.
- At your option, exchange contact information with other alumni and company representatives.
- Increase your network of contacts.
- Attend several helpful workshops.
- Attend the hosted lunch and listen to a nationally recognized keynote presentation on career management.
- Obtain one-on-one interviews with one, or more employers by submitting your resume in advance of the conference to employers of your choice.
- Receive personalized coaching for an additional fee.
Saturday, the second day of the conference, focuses exclusively on networking workshops, and keynote presentations. Some employers may elect to attend on Saturday to informally meet with you to discuss employment opportunities.
Finally, dress is Business Casual.
Very Important: Please arrive at least one-half hour prior to the start of the conference to allow for parking and registration and that morning coffee. |
